Pre-Licensing Proctored Self-Paced Computer Classes

PROCTORED, SELF-PACED COMPUTER Insurance Classes

Slater Insurance School always recommends attending a live-lecture class whenever possible. However, if the dates of our live-lecture insurance classes don’t fit into your schedule, you may clock in your hours in our computer lab at your own pace. Studying in our computer lab is available on most weekends and during the weekdays. You will study using the same textbook and interactive software as our live lecture students use; however, you will be in our computer lab working at your own pace. Our practice exam tutorials give immediate explanations and responses to hundreds of questions from our textbook and help to pinpoint areas of weakness within particular topics. You will also study using our PowerPoint presentations, just like the presentations used in the live-lecture classes.

Slater Insurance School's computer lab is available for proctored self-paced study as long as we are holding other live-lecture classes or are in the office, which is almost every day of the month. When we are holding other live-lecture classes, usually you can clock in a maximum of nine hours a day (8am-5pm).

Students that need Life, Disability and Regulations need to clock in 36 hours, and the same amount of hours are needed for Property, Casualty and Regulations. Each line of insurance requires 16 hours of on-location study, plus one four-hour Regulations class. Students that need to take one line of insurance only, for example Life insurance or Casualty insurance only, need to attend 16 hours plus an additional four hours for the State Regulations class.
